DESCRIPTION
This 1960 Chevrolet Corvette was refurbished prior to its acquisition by the current owner in 2013.
Power is provided by a 283ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in red with white coves over red upholstery. Features include a body-color removable hardtop, 15″ steel wheels with spinner-style covers, whitewall tires, a floor shifter, and a dual exhaust system.
The fiberglass bodywork is finished in red with white coves and is noted to have been repainted under prior ownership. Equipment includes a removable red hardtop, split chrome bumpers, quad headlights, polished side trim, and fender vents. A blemish is present near one of the tail lights and the weatherstripping shows wear.
Red-painted 15″ steel wheels are fitted with spinner-style covers and are mounted with 205/75 wide-whitewall Coker Classic tires installed in 2020. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums. The axle bearings were resealed and the left axle strap was replaced in 2015.
The bucket seats are upholstered in red and complemented by color-coordinated lap belts, carpeting, and door panels with stainless steel inserts. Amenities include a heater, a floor shifter, and a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror.
A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 2,800 miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added during current ownership.
The 283ci V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and a dual exhaust system exiting through the rear bumperettes. The oil pan gasket, rear main seal, and exhaust system were replaced in 2015
Power is distributed through a four-speed manual transmission and a solid rear axle. A reverse lockout was installed on the transmission in 2015.
